Abu Dhabi Indian Muslim Association ( AIMAN SANGAM ) has been active in its religious and social welfare activities since its inception, 25 years ago. During the late 1970s and beginning of 1980s there were less number of Muslims in Abu Dhabi hailing from Tamil Nadu and there were no common platform to come together and share their thoughts and views. This made few of our noble – minded brothers to lay the foundation for an organization that could unite them together by the grace of Almighty Allah.
AIMAN SANGAM was started on the 18th Rabiul awwal 1401 ( 23rd Jan 1981 ) and was inaugurated by eminent Islamic Scholar late Moulana M E M Abdul Hasan Sathali Hazrath, Editor of Jamathul Ulama Monthly, Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu. AIMAN is an associate member of World Assembly of Muslim Youth ( WAMY ) , which is a member of United Nations Non-Govt. organizations ( UN – NGO ).
AIMAN has come a long way in the past decades, thanks to the countless and ceaseless efforts of our brothers who sacrificed their valuable time towards its successful implementation of unifying Muslims from Tamil Nadu under one umbrella. It is focusing on their important areas which are very essential to our society such as Religious, Educational and Social Welfare.
RELIGIOUS :
Holy Quran in Audio Cassettes
AIMAN’s major achievement was to release the Holy Quran in audio cassettes recorded with Tamil Translation. AIMAN was the first in the world to bring such cassettes in 1983. Qari Shaikh Abdul Bari Mohamed, the well known Quran Recited, who strictly follows the fundamental rules of Tajwid, recorded the Arabic voice of the Holy Quran Prof M Abdur rahman M A , former Professor H K H College, Uthamapalayam, Tamil Nadu, read out Tamil translation.
The eminent scholar of the Arab world, His Excellency Dr Ezzeddin Ibrahim, Cultural Advisor to the President of United Arab Emirates & Ex Vice Chancellor of UAE University , released the first set of audio cassettes by 1983. The cassettes have been in circulation through out the world and beneficial to the Muslims who speak Tamil language.
AIMAN has released the 40 Hadiths and Hadith Qudsi in Tamil audio cassettes
AIMAN regularly organizes gatherings and lectures during various auspicious days such as Hijri New Year, Meelad Un Nabi, Mihraj, Shabe Baraath, Badr Shahabs Remembrance Day, Lailathul Qadir, etc
AIMAN organizes lectures and seminar on various Islamic topics rendered by renowned speakers.
AIMAN organizes Ifthar party during the month of Ramadhan.
AIMAN organizes special training sessions for the intended Hajis prior to their Pilgrimage and gathering for encouraging the Hajis before and after their Pilgrimage.
AIMAN organizes special gathering on the day of Eid ( Eid Milan ) for our Muslim brothers to wish each other.
EDUCATIONAL :
AIMAN Educational Trust
AIMAN has been running a charitable Trust called AIMAN Educational Trust since 1995, registered under the Indian Trusts Act, for the purpose of promoting moral , cultural and educational advancement of our society and poor people in particular.
AIMAN Education and Welfare Society
AIMAN has formed the AIMAN Education and Welfare Society, registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, in order to establish a Women’s college namely AIMAN College of Arts and Science for Women in Trichy, Tamil Nadu by the year 2000.

Eminent Academician Prof. K M Kader Mohideen Sahib, M A , Member of Parliament of India and President, of Indian Union Muslim League, Tamilnadu inaugurated AIMAN College. With the inception of this college, a long cherished dream of AIMAN brothers has come true by the grace of Almighty.
The college is recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of Tamilnadu and affiliated to the Bharathidassan University. The college has conducts various courses. The doors of the college are open to all sections of the society. All students get moral education, to make them morally upright, socially committed and spiritually Inspired citizens.
Muslim students get Deeniyat Education and there is a regular Holy Quran reading program after the college hours. The College has a well maintained Hostel. New Mosque is separately built within the college campus.
AIMAN Education Assistance Scheme
AIMAN has been providing financial assistance to deserving, meritorious & poor Muslim students , for continuing professional and non-professional courses under the HUBB AL MASAKIN ( Lover for the Poor ) scheme.
SOCIAL WELFARE :
Coordinating with the relatives of deceased and organizing burial
Visiting ailing brothers in hospitals and providing financial aid for treatments and surgeries
Maintaining libraries in Labour camps with a good collection of reading and reference materials
Providing assistance and advices to our brothers in finding better jobs and prospects in UAE
