The Government of India has decided to set up a Scholarship Scheme for the children of PIOs/NRIs for their higher education. Under this scheme, 100 admission-cum-scholarships shall be offered for Undergraduate courses in Engineering/Technology, Humanities/Liberal Arts, Commerce, Management, Journalism, Hotel Management, Agriculture/ Animal Husbandry to partially fund the tuition fees, particularly for the technical courses. The scholarships will be offered on merit on the basis of entrance tests conducted. Last date for receipt of applications is April 5, 2006.
