RIYADH: Indian Ambassador Talmiz Ahmad launched a special e-supplement brought out by Yahind.com for the first time on the occasion of Republic Day of India. It was a two-in-one event for Yahind.com, India's leading web portal with a monthly log of over two million hits. Besides marking India's Republic Day, the supplement commemorated Yahind's decade of service to the Indian Diaspora.
Yahind CEO, Syed Zia-ur-Rahman, also announced that Javid Hassan, who formerly worked as a Senior Reporter of Arab News for 27 years, has taken charge as the Editor of Yahind. He will, however, function from his home base in Bangalore. A widely traveled journalist, he had previously worked for The Times of India, Indian Express and other publications in India before joining Arab News in the Riyadh Office. Zia said his website has been registered in the name of Yahind Infotech & Media Services in India. The company provides all types of media services, including web-based media solutions, content development, preparation of press releases, etc.
Besides acting as an information channel for the NRIs, Yahind.com undertakes web designing and development as well as providing consultancy services in this regard.
